Week 6 Next –

This week, ask the Holy Spirit to help you join God’s movement by serving, speaking, and standing.

Serve:

We’re launching a new list of serving opportunities at GracePoint. Prayerfully look through the available ministries and ask:

“Where is God inviting me to serve?”

Don’t wait for an extraordinary assignment. Begin by being faithful in the ordinary. Choose one opportunity and take a step toward.

Speak:

Spend some time this week watching The Bible Project’s overview videos or reading through the story of Scripture. As you do, ask:

How is God moving throughout the Bible?

How does every part of the story point to Jesus?

Who in my life needs to hear this story?

Then challenge yourself to be ready to share with someone how God has been moving throughout history, and how He has been at work in your own story.

Stand:

Identify one place in your life where the Lord is calling you to stand faithfully.

Maybe it’s remaining faithful in a difficult relationship, maintaining integrity at work, persevering through illness, extending forgiveness, or boldly living out your faith when it’s unpopular.

Ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you to remain faithful, trusting that the God who stood with Stephen is with you today.

Week 4 Next –

Jesus uses good done in his name to save people by his name.

1. Prayerfully consider:

Where in your life do you currently have a posture or practice of kindness in the name of Jesus?

What is the “good” that you are already doing?

How does it bring glory to God or give opportunity to share the good news of new life in our Savior?

2. What good work might God be calling you into? Try something this week! (Household tip: this is a great discussion starter that might lead to doing something together)

3. Daily prayer:

“Sovereign Lord, enable your servant(s) to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Week 2 Next –

Join the Movement

This week, ask yourself 3 questions everyday.

1. Where is God already moving?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, help me notice where You are already at work around me.

2. Who can I tell about Jesus?

Challenge:

Share one part of your story with one person this week. It could be:

Why you follow Jesus.

Something God has been teaching you.

An invitation to church.

The goal is to speak the name of Jesus.

3. What do I need to surrender?

Peter ends with:

Repent. Repentance is the ongoing posture of every disciple.

Each evening ask:

Holy Spirit… Is there an attitude, a habit, a relationship, or an area of pride that you are inviting me to surrender?

Then confess it immediately.

Week 1 Next –

Ask.

Every morning pray:

“Father, thank You for the gift of Your Spirit. Holy Spirit, help me notice where You are moving and give me courage to join You.”

Then ask at night:

1. Where did I notice God’s presence today?
2. Where might God have been moving around me?
3. Did I respond?
